pcDuino V3.0 with Wi-Fi - Arduino Compatible
pcDuino3 is a high performance, cost effective single board computer. It can be used for a wide range of applications; for example use the built-in HDMI port and pre-loaded XBMC-Media Centre to make your own home cinema media player. Add a HDD and a wireless keyboard & mouse (such as XC4943) and you have a great media centre ready to go. Connect to the internet via Wi-Fi or 10/100/1000 Ethernet.
The Arduino style header allows you to connect Arduino shields* so you can make anything your heart desires. Six Analog inputs and two PWM outputs make for even extra versatility.
Unlike the Raspberry Pi, there is no need to go through the tedious process of preparing a boot SD Card, the pcDuino has a 4GB onboard flash drive that comes preloaded with Ubuntu Linux (which you can replace with Android operating system).
While you don't need an SD Card, there is a microSD socket available for extra storage. If you need some serious storage space, the pcDuino sports a SATA connector so you can attach a full size HDD.
We are so impressed by the pcDuino we have set up an interactive display in our stores to show you how fantastic they really are. If you’re still not sold on the power of pcDuino, we invite you to pop into our store and see the pcDuino in action for yourself. We have attached a 7” Touch Screen (XC4356) and programmed the pcDuino (running on Ubuntu Linux) to demonstrate the following:
XBMC:
All in one Media Centre - perfect for the car, or just for the TV at home.
ARDUINO IDE:
Program and programmer all in one - plug in a keyboard and mouse, and watch your sketches work on the same machine you’ve developed them on.
SCRATCH:
Want to program but don’t like the look of pages of dense code? Have a look at Scratch - drag and drop blocks to assemble code, and your programs can even interact with sound and animations.
CHROMIUM BROWSER:
A fully featured browser is available with just a click.
UBUNTU 14 APPS:
All your essential utility apps like media player, text editor, file manager, and calculator. Sample scripts: See how easy it is to control the output pins by a single click of icons on the desktop.
OCTOPRINT:
3D Printer Management with web interface.
CONNECTIVITY:
Wi-Fi, USB and USB OTG, Ethernet, SATA, Serial Debug, 3.5mm Analog and I2S Digital Audio.
